Why This Apparel Brand Funds Cannabis Research, NHS Projects, and the Future of Psychedelic and AI-Integrated Infrastructure
I’m a business strategist by trade, a researcher by habit, and—more recently—a designer of culture.
For the past decade, I’ve worked in and around the edges of emerging markets: cannabis, psychedelics, AI, public health. What I’ve seen over and over again is this: the ideas that matter most—the ones with the power to change how we live—are often the least funded, the most misunderstood, and the first to be politicized.
So I started Business Casual.
This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s a publishing arm of a larger project: a lifestyle apparel brand that funds research, licensing, and infrastr
ucture in underfunded fields. Every hoodie, every print, every object we release is part of a limited-edition drop whose profits go directly into building real-world systems—like a secure cannabis research facility in the UK, or NHS-integrated studies on rare diseases.
We’re creating cultural capital that builds clinical infrastructure.
This publication is where I’ll share that journey. Here’s what to expect:
Personal essays on building something unconventional
Behind-the-scenes notes on our apparel drops
Reflections on cannabis, AI, psychedelics, design, and funding science without institutions
Quiet critiques of mainstream work culture and lifestyle branding
Updates on what your support is helping us build
Posting Rhythm: 1–2 free posts per week, with occasional deeper dives for paid subscribers.
Paid Subscribers get early access to drops, private research reports, and exclusive content.
Founding Members are part of the inner circle—we’ll build with you, not just for you.
If that sounds like your pace, I’d love for you to subscribe:
This is not merch. It’s a message.
Thanks for reading—and welcome in.
